We congratulate Luciana Elizalde who received funding from Agencia Nacional de Promoción Científica y Tecnológica of Argentina for her research project “Evaluation and management of ecosystem services provided by ants in agriculture: balance between services and disservices”. In this project we are going to evaluate, value and develop tools to manage ecosystem services provided by ants in smallholder farms, considering the complexity of interactions among ants and other organisms of the community, and the influence of the landscape surrounding the productive area. We hope that our results will encourage the conservation and continuity of the services that ants provide and offer tools for the organic management of crops.
